After all, a mission defines and upholds what you stand for as a company. At Bascom Communications, our mission is to bring big-city access to rural Ohio. And we live by it.

History of Bascom

Bascom Communications was formed in 1906 and has continued to be a technological and service leader in the area ever since. We offer high-quality telephone service, Fiber TV, Accelerate high-speed Internet access, security and personal home safety, Ethernet transport, wireless Internet with LTE, and much more. We are dedicated to making your communications experience enjoyable, easy, and affordable. As the years go on, we are committed to broadening our profile and reach to be able to offer the absolute best to our customers.

Community Focused

At Bascom, we’re all about community. When you work with Bascom, you gain access to an entire team who truly cares about you. “We’re small and we’re local. While the big guys focus on the bottom line, we focus on our customers,” said Jon Hampshire, Customer Service Manager at Bascom Communications. “We strive to provide excellent customer service for our customers each day. We’re always listening to what they have to say.”

Bascom finds fulfillment in making an impact and enjoys serving the community as often as possible. “In Seneca County, the people are neighborly and bend over backwards to help you out in any way,” Jon said. Bascom strives to mimic that same behavior by playing an active role in the community.

“We’re involved in all kinds of things,” said Nate Brickner, CEO & General Manager at Bascom Communications. “There is a school that is 500 yards away from us that we helped by setting up a broadcast class and giving them access to a channel on our cable system.” Bascom helps with a variety of service organizations and local colleges, and also makes sure the historic Meadowbrook Park in Tiffin has sufficient funding to stay open to the community.
