October is Cooperative Month! Did you know that the history of our cooperative dates back to February 17, 1906, when the very first meeting was held to discuss the possibility of forming a telephone company in Bascom?  There were fifty people in attendance and 25 of those expressed interest.  They decided to hold another meeting on February 22, 1906. At that meeting 18 people signed up to form the Mutual Telephone Company.

During this year’s 2021 annual meeting the cooperative celebrated 115 years of serving rural Seneca County.  We sat down with Board President Thomas Daniel and discussed the cooperative. Watch the video to learn more!
